DESCRIPTION
PDR Café Flavor 1878 Medium Roast cigars combine the character of a high-quality Dominican blend with the alluring note of freshly roasted coffee. Crafted by Abe Flores in the Dominican Republic, this variant offers a harmonious middle ground between the mild Natural and the full-bodied Maduro. It delivers a balanced, medium-strength smoking experience with a creamy texture, perfect draw and a pleasantly sweet and spicy depth.
A harmonious balance between strength and aroma
The 1878 Medium Roast combines Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos with a rich Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. This slightly oily, medium-brown wrapper gives the cigar a full body and perfectly brings out the coffee aromas. In contrast to the lighter ‘Natural’ version, the flavour here is more roasted and robust, without losing any of its elegance – ideal for connoisseurs who prefer their coffee with a dash of espresso.
Taste & Character
From the very first puff, the PDR Café Flavor 1878 Medium Roast unfolds notes of espresso, milk chocolate, hazelnut and a hint of cinnamon. The coffee character is distinct but not overpowering, blending with the warm roasted aromas of the Habano wrapper to create a smooth, creamy smoke. As you continue smoking, hints of caramel and light wood join the flavour profile, before it fades into a harmonious, sweet and spicy finish. The burn remains even, and the draw is consistent and pleasant.
Perfect for any time of day
Whether in the morning with a cappuccino or in the evening after a meal – the Medium Roast is versatile and pairs superbly with coffee drinks, sweet spirits or milk chocolate. Thanks to its balanced body, it is suitable for both experienced aficionados and beginners who want a little more intensity without veering into the strong end of the spectrum.
