Montosa
DESCRIPTION
The Montosa Amarillo Toro combines the sunny, floral character of the Amarillo range with a generous Toro size, which gives the blend plenty of room to develop harmoniously. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the cigar combines Dominican and Brazilian filler tobaccos with a Mexican-Sumatra binder and an elegant Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador. The result is a mild, pleasantly aromatic smoke with floral freshness, subtle sweetness, cedar and nutty notes. Thanks to its extra length, the interplay of flavours develops gently and in a well-balanced manner.
Montosa Amarillo Toro with a balanced blend
The Amarillo series focuses on a light and approachable character. The Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador brings a gentle sweetness and subtle spice. Beneath this, the Mexican-Sumatra binder provides balance and structure. The filler, made from tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Brazil, adds floral and slightly nutty facets. Particularly distinctive are the fresh, floral nuances that link Montosa to the Cibao Valley in the heart of the Dominican Republic.
Floral spice meets cedar wood
In the Toro format, the individual flavours are particularly well-balanced. The opening is smooth and slightly creamy, characterised by floral notes and a subtle sweetness. This is followed by cedar, a delicate nuttiness and subtle roasted notes. A gentle spiciness lends structure to the smoke, whilst remaining in the background at all times. As the smoke progresses, the floral and woody components blend ever more closely to form a harmonious whole, which remains pleasantly mild and balanced right through to the finish.
Generous Toro size for greater development
According to the manufacturer, the Toro measures 150 millimetres in length, with a diameter of 19.8 millimetres and a ring gauge of 50. Compared to the Robusto, the extra length allows more time for the blend to develop. The smoking time is approximately 60 to 75 minutes. This format is ideal for relaxed moments of enjoyment where a mild cigar with varied aromas is desired. The effortless draw, pleasant smoke volume and balanced intensity make it appealing to both beginners and connoisseurs of lighter premium cigars.
