Dios del Sol El Principio Half Corona

The Dios del Sol El Principio embodies sun-drenched elegance from Honduras: creamy, delicately spicy and with a pleasant natural sweetness – an accessible premium cigar that is just as enjoyable during the day as it is in the evening. The bright, light-coloured Connecticut wrapper gives the cigar its smooth, silky texture, whilst the harmoniously balanced filler provides aromatic depth. Expertly hand-rolled, with a consistent draw and even burn, the Dios del Sol El Principio is a reliable choice for anyone who appreciates balance, clarity and a modern take on the cigar experience.

Dios del Sol El Principio – Origin & Blend

The blend combines a Connecticut-seed wrapper from Honduras with a Honduran broadleaf binder, as well as filler tobaccos from the Jamastrán Valley (Honduras) and Jalapa (Nicaragua). This combination delivers a creamy texture, mild spice and rich aromas with a subtle sweetness – the hallmark of Dios del Sol. Each cigar is crafted entirely by hand, ensuring consistent construction and a stylish presentation.

Formats, smoking time & target audience

The Dios del Sol El Principio is available in six popular sizes – Half Corona (4"×42), Corona (5½"×44), Robusto (5"×52), Toro (6"×54), Belicoso (6"×52) and Churchill (7"×52) – each in elegant boxes of 14. Depending on the size, the smoking time ranges from a short coffee break to a leisurely evening. Thanks to its mild-to-medium strength profile, the range is ideal for beginners looking to discover premium quality, and for connoisseurs seeking a smooth, clean ‘anytime smoke’ with meticulous craftsmanship.

Flavours & Pairing

As it is smoked, the Dios del Sol El Principio reveals a finely orchestrated interplay of flavours: cream and gentle spices carry a rich bouquet with a pleasant sweetness right through to the clean, rounded finish. The intensity remains controlled (mild to medium), whilst the smoke is smooth and full-bodied. Ideal accompaniments include espresso or cappuccino, a barrel-aged rum that isn’t too sweet, or a smooth, lightly peated single malt – this allows the cigar to reveal its velvety character with particular elegance.
