EGM Cigars
DESCRIPTION
The EGM Blecos is a boutique cigar for anyone who loves the Cuban style but fancies a modern, Dominican take on it. The distinctive head shape catches the eye straight away: the ‘cabeza tumbada’ (Dropped Head) – a detail reminiscent of the Cuban 109 format, which gives the cigar its unmistakable character. EGM knows how to combine tradition with contemporary enjoyment: elegant, superbly crafted and with an aroma profile that remains pleasantly medium-bodied – ideal as a stylish all-rounder for many occasions.
Dominican craftsmanship from the Cibao Valley
The Blecos is handcrafted (Totalmente a Mano) in the Dominican Republic. Tobacco from the renowned Cibao Valley – a region known worldwide for its excellent tobaccos – is used for the wrapper, binder and filler. The result is a cigar that does not rely on brute strength, but rather on balance, a clean draw and a well-rounded overall character. Perfect for aficionados who appreciate finesse and consistency, as well as for newcomers who want to smoke ‘something proper’ straight away.
Format: compact, modern and surprisingly versatile
Measuring 120 mm in length with a 52 ring gauge, the Blecos sits comfortably in the hand: enough volume for depth of flavour, yet compact enough for an occasional treat. The cigar is classified as ‘medium’ in terms of flavour profile – a lovely sweet spot if you’re looking for aromatic complexity without the smoke becoming too heavy. Whether enjoyed with an espresso, a mild rum or simply on its own, the Blecos remains accessible whilst always coming across as high-quality and well-crafted.
Also ideal for storing in a humidor
EGM typically presents the Blecos in a box of 10 made from untreated cedar wood – practical for storage and attractive for daily selection. Thanks to its sturdy construction and balanced profile, it is suitable both for immediate enjoyment and for careful ageing. If you’re looking for a cigar that feels ‘special’ without being complicated, this vitola is a real winner.
