La Aurora Fernando León Family Reserve is a cigar with a genuine family history: for many years, this blend was originally intended solely for Don Fernando León himself – and as a gift for close friends of the family. It was only later that the ‘family recipe’ was officially made available. The range originates from the historic La Aurora factory (founded in 1903) and offers a medium-bodied to full-bodied smoke that combines classic elegance with a distinct spiciness.

A blend steeped in tradition: Dominican Corojo & an exciting filler

The character of the cigar is defined by the Dominican Corojo wrapper and binder, which lend the smoke a pleasantly piquant spice and an elegant structure. The filler combines Dominican tobaccos with Brazilian and Peruvian components – a combination often described as ‘gourmet’ because, alongside woody and earthy notes, it also produces toasty, slightly chocolatey accents. Overall, the cigar has a rich, aromatic profile without being overpowering: the spiciness is present but remains well-integrated and is rounded off by a subtle, warm sweetness.

Robusto, Toro & Gran Toro: three sizes, one style

The Robusto (5 x 50) is the concentrated entry-level option: more direct, spicier and ideal for after work, when you want plenty of flavour in a manageable amount of time. The Toro (6 x 50) offers noticeably more scope for development – the blend often becomes creamier, with the roasted notes coming more to the fore. The Gran Toro (6 x 58) is the size for those who like it substantial: more smoke, a fuller mouthfeel and a particularly rich, well-rounded profile. Whichever size you choose, the range is designed to burn evenly and remain true to itself throughout the smoking experience.
