DESCRIPTION
The origins of Macanudo go back to the 19th century, when many Cubans emigrated to Jamaica. Macanudo was first used as a format name around 1940 and the brand really took off from 1968 after being sold to General Cigar. In the 1990s, production was relocated from Jamaica to the Dominican Republic.
Macanudo has been one of the best-selling brands in the USA for the last 20 years.

Sehr angenehm
Die Zigarre ist optisch schon mal ein Blickfang, etwas zwischen Corona und Torpedo. Durch die Form kommt zuerst ein sanfter Kaffeartiger Geschmack, welcher sich bis zur Mitte steigert und von Schokoladennoten begleitet wird. In der Mitte ist das Aroma satt mit gutem Rauch. Das letzte Drittel haltet sich perfekt die Waage, intensiv aber angenehm, nicht kratzig, was sicherlich mit der verjüngten Form nach hinten zusammenhängt. Im Mund bleibt immer eine ganz leichte Restsüsse, nicht zu viel, dass es störend wäre, im Gegenteil, es unterstreicht das Basisaroma perfekt. Fiür mich ein kleines Juwel mit passendem Preisschild. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
