A premium cigar from the heart of the Dominican Republic

This range is yet another sensational creation from the long-established company Arnold André in Bünde. The Buenavista cigars and the premium Carlos André range – which are also rolled at the company’s own tobacco factory in the Dominican Republic – are already well known. This series now provides a further addition to the more affordable end of the range. Montosa cigars are very well-balanced, mild yet aromatic cigars, which are ideal for lovers of lighter cigars and newcomers to the hobby.

For more than three years, the master blender has been searching for precisely this blend and this result for the Montosa cigars, working on the development of the new Montosa range. The choice fell on Criollo and Piloto from the Dominican Republic and Java from Indonesia for the filler. These are complemented by a Mexican Sumatra binder and a fine Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador. The end product is definitely a pleasure to smoke. The blend reveals coffee and cocoa notes on the one hand, and nutty and sweet, fruity notes on the other, all ‘wrapped up’ in an overall mild creaminess. An outstanding long-filler cigar that conveys a broad spectrum of flavours in a harmonious yet smooth manner, and is also very attractively priced.
