West Tampa

The foundations for the West Tampa Tobacco Company were laid in 1953, when Rick Rodriguez’s grandparents – both highly respected cigar rollers – answered the call of the USA. They left the glamour of Havana behind and moved to the US coast to capitalise on the booming cigar business in West Tampa, Florida.
Rick could never get his grandparents’ stories about Havana and Cuban cigars in their heyday out of his head. So when the opportunity arose to work in the cigar business, Rick seized it at once. He soon learnt from some of the greats in the cigar industry, particularly Benji Menendez, who willingly passed on his knowledge to Rick. Decades later, Rick has finally made his mark in the cigar business with West Tampa Tobacco cigars.

Cigar interior: Medium roll, well-constructed.
Smoke: Creamy with a subtle sweetness, plenty of smoke volume.
Flavour: Leather , coffee, chocolate with pepper and a hint of toast.
