Zino Nicaragua Gordo Freshpack

The Zino Nicaragua cigar epitomises relaxed, premium enjoyment with a modern twist. Launched by Davidoff in 2021 as a new Zino range, it combines a smooth, accessible style with exciting depth. At the heart of the blend is an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan Semilla 56 Seco binder. The filler combines tobaccos from Honduras (Olancho & Jamastrán Visus), Nicaragua (Ometepe Visus) and the Dominican Republic (San Vicente & San Vicente Mejorado Seco). The Zino Nicaragua is crafted as a hand-rolled long filler in Honduras (Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A.). The result: mild to medium, creamy, spicy and fresh – and ideal as an everyday ‘go-to’ or a stylish gift.

2021 relaunch – modern, accessible, Zino

With the launch of the Zino Nicaragua cigar in May 2021, the long-established Zino brand took on a fresh new profile: a youthful design, clear value for money and a blend that delivers instant pleasure. The aim: premium quality with easy access – entirely in keeping with Zino Davidoff’s spirit of discovery.

Blend & Origin – Ecuador Connecticut meets Semilla 56

The silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper lends elegance and creaminess, whilst the Nicaraguan binder (Semilla 56) provides structure. The multi-layered filler from Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic delivers cedar, light spices, gentle sweetness and notes of coffee, nut and delicate pepper. The Zino Nicaragua is handcrafted in Honduras – a deliberately international blend with distinct aromatics.

Formats & Packaging – flexible for everyday use

The range includes, amongst others, the Robusto (5 × 54), Toro (6 × 50) and Short Torpedo (4 × 52); the Half Corona (4 × 44, pre-scored, 5-cigar tin) was added in 2023. Depending on the market, they are packaged in boxes of 25, packs of 4, and, since 2025 (Robusto/Toro), in cartons of 5. This allows the Zino Nicaragua cigar to be stocked flexibly, from a sample pack to a humidor reserve.

Cigar exterior: light brown , silky, finely oily, flawlessly even
Cigar interior: long-filler , hand-rolled, precise, consistent, easy to draw
Smoke: creamy , slightly sweet, medium to high volume.
Flavour: Cedar , nut, coffee, subtle pepper, sweetness.
Burn: Even burn, stable ash, rarely needs trimming.
