Ashton Rainy Day 50g Tin

Ashton Rainy Day 50g Tin is the perfect pipe tobacco for anyone who likes their tobacco aromatic, smooth and wonderfully uncomplicated – just the thing for cosy moments when the weather turns outside or you simply fancy a ‘comfort smoke’. The blend combines sweet Virginia and nutty Burley tobaccos with velvety Black Cavendish, and is then aged in whisky casks for exactly one month. This ensures a particularly smooth, cool smoke and gives the blend an elegant depth without making it feel heavy or ‘sticky’. As soon as you open the tin, you’re met by an inviting aroma: tropical fruits, a subtle sweetness and the characteristic note of hickory – warm, slightly toasty and simply cosy.

Whisky cask maturation & flavour profile: tropical fruit meets hickory nut

Rainy Day is a Danish aromatic blend that deliberately focuses on harmony. The Virginias bring natural sweetness and a light, pleasant base note; Burley contributes body and a pleasantly nutty depth; and Black Cavendish ensures a creamy, smooth texture in the smoke. The whole blend is refined by cask ageing: a month in a whisky cask makes the tobacco noticeably rounder and distributes the flavours particularly evenly. In terms of flavour, you can look forward to a sweet, fruity profile – tropical fruits to the fore, accompanied by a warm, ‘woody-nutty’ hickory accent. The smoking experience remains smooth and cool, with a pleasant, sweet and spicy finish. The room note is pleasant and distinctly aromatic – ideal if you’re looking for a tobacco that’s well-received in the room too.
