Behind this brand is the Frenchman Jean Baudot, a rum expert and author of various specialist books, such as *The Legend of Rum*, which has been published in several languages. His research for the book also took him to the Cuban ‘Museum of Rum’, where, amongst other things, numerous promotional items from days gone by are on display. As a passionate cigar smoker, he immediately fell in love with the 1950s ashtrays on display there and became increasingly enthusiastic about the idea of reviving them as replicas. As a French ambassador of fine living, the only option was a French ceramics manufacturer that could cater to his individual wishes and produce small batches, which he designs in collaboration with enthusiastic designers. In addition to the original retro designs, the collection now also includes a number of more modern models, available for both cigarillos and cigars. The colour palette ranges from earthy tones to a variety of pastel shades, which also lend a Caribbean flair to your terrace at home.
