An old malt house in Lauenburg, built stone by stone into the steep banks of the Elbe well over 100 years ago and, due to the water-bearing soil layers, constructed to be as solid as a castle – the ideal location for the storage and production of pipe tobacco. The small company has been based there since 1990. The manufactory specialises in the production of natural blends in small batches. The term ‘manufactory’ reflects the largely artisanal nature of production in Lauenburg.
