Fribourg & Treyer Golden Mixture – 50g tin

Fribourg & Treyer Golden Mixture – 50g tin is a beautifully unadorned Virginia tobacco for anyone who loves the ‘authentic’ flavour of fine Virginia tobaccos. This blend is regarded as the golden-yellow, naturally pure Virginia variety in the Fribourg & Treyer range and offers a clean, light smoking experience: mild on the palate, yet by no means thin, but pleasantly full-bodied with a subtle, natural sweetness. In the 50g tin, the tobacco stays fresh for a long time and is ideal as a reliable everyday tobacco – or as a ‘reset’ when you fancy enjoying the pure aroma of Virginia again between stronger blends.

Light Virginias: bread, hay and a natural sweetness

Golden Mixture is a straight Virginia blend that deliberately avoids any conspicuous flavouring. Many descriptions highlight the typical Virginia notes: bread/toast, hay, grass and a light, natural sweetness, which can become slightly deeper and rounder as the smoke develops. The cut is a classic ribbon or medium cut, making the tobacco easy to pack and straightforward to light. A practical tip: if you smoke slowly and avoid overheating the tobacco, you’ll be rewarded with a cool, pleasantly smooth smoke. The room aroma remains correspondingly natural and rather understated – tobacco-like, slightly sweet, without any ‘perfume’. This is precisely what makes Golden Mixture so appealing: honest, clear, full of flavour.
