Gurkha Grand Reserve Robusto Natural

The Gurkha Grand Reserve is one of Gurkha's best-known and also most unusual specimens. The special feature here is the "infusion" with a high-quality cognac from Remy Martin in France. This gives the cigars a fine cognac note without losing the tobacco flavour. Gurkha attaches great importance to the fact that the cognac is not sprayed or vaporised onto the tobacco. How exactly the marriage between the cognac and the tobacco is achieved is a secret. 

Each cigar is elaborately packaged in a glass tubo and sealed with a seal. The tobaccos all come from the Dominican Republic. A Connecticut Shade leaf aged for five years was chosen as the wrapper, which gives the cigar a fine flavour. The filler tobaccos and the binder leaf have been aged for three years.

The cigars are available individually or as a bundle. The wooden base shown is only available while stocks last (they are actually reserved for specialist retailers).  

It is important to know that the Gurkha Grand Reserve Robusto Natural is longer than conventional cigars in Robusto format. With a length of 152mm, it would be more of a Toro format. But as unusual as Gurkha's cigars are, the dimensions of the formats are just as unusual.
