Gurkha Cigars is synonymous with artful presentation and crazy offbeat ideas in the world of premium cigars. To celebrate three decades in the business, the Gurkha Treinta was launched in 2019. Here too, the Americans have once again drawn on the full range of possibilities when it comes to the visual appearance. Both the packaging and the sleeve are eye-catchers of the highest quality. But the "inner values" are also impressive. The mild-to-medium blend of the 30th anniversary line consists of a Rosado Sun Grown wrapper leaf, the only component from Ecuador. A Corojo 99 binder wraps the filler tobaccos Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 from Estelí and Jalapa. All but the wrapper leaf are grown by the Aganorsa Leaf Factory, one of Nicaragua's largest producers of premium tobacco. This is the first time ever that Gurkha has worked with Aganorsa and the result is impressive across the board - we'll just say: almonds!
