La Aurora Fernando León is a labour of love from the long-established Tabacalera La Aurora: a ‘Family Reserve’ blend that was originally rolled exclusively for Fernando León, his family and close friends – and has been officially available since 2012. The cigar embodies a wonderfully balanced, medium-strength style that elegantly combines sweet, spicy and woody notes. It is not a loud, in-your-face cigar, but a characterful treat that feels well-rounded from the very first puff.

A blend with a history – sweet, spicy and woody

La Aurora describes the Fernando León as a very special blend with a harmonious combination of ‘sweet, spicy, woody’ – and this is precisely what is reflected in the smoking experience: cedar and spices open the flavour profile, joined by a caramel-like sweetness that becomes creamier as the cigar progresses, lending depth to the profile. Particularly lovely: the line is also associated with an oily wrapper from the Dominican Republic, which neatly brings the flavours together and ensures an elegant, slightly glossy appearance.

Robusto or Belicoso – two sizes, one character

The Robusto offers a direct, concentrated introduction: compact, with spot-on flavour and ideal for an hour of pure enjoyment. The Belicoso often feels even more focused thanks to its tapered head – depending on how you cut it, you can control the draw very precisely. At the same time, it offers a slightly longer smoke, allowing the spicy-sweet nuances to ‘unfold’ particularly beautifully. Both formats remain true to the style: balanced, aromatic, with a pleasant blend of wood, spices and caramel.
