Hors d'Age (meaning "exceptional age") is considered a quality designation in connoisseur circles. And La Aurora has indeed allowed its "Hors d'Age" to mature for half a generation. 12 years from seed to finished cigar: that is twice as much time as is usual for other premium long-fillers from La Aurora. The precious edition is limited to 800 jars worldwide. The wrapper and binder from Ecuador combine with the filler from Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua to create a complex composition.
