Hors d’Age (literally ‘exceptional age’) is regarded as a mark of quality amongst connoisseurs. And indeed, La Aurora has allowed its ‘Hors d’Age’ to mature for half a generation. Twelve years from sowing to the finished cigar: that is twice as long as is usual for other premium long-fillers from La Aurora. This exquisite edition is limited to 6,000 boxes worldwide. The Ecuadorian wrapper and binder combine with the filler from Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua to create a complex blend.

The aroma of the La Aurora Hors d’Age 2022

This perfectly balanced Toro-format cigar, whose blend has enjoyed additional years of ageing, opens with spicy notes of black pepper. Woody notes remain present throughout the smoking experience, but are enriched with nuances of cinnamon, nuts and even citrus fruits. With a hint of roasted coffee in a creamy texture, the finish is long and powerful. An absolutely sophisticated, luxurious smoking experience.
