DESCRIPTION

The Serena range from Matilde is characterised by a mild to medium body. This cigar is therefore the mildest in the Matilde range. The name Serena means ‘calm’ and ‘peaceful’, emphasising the cigar’s characteristics. The tobacco leaves used for the Serena’s filler come from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, whilst the tobaccos for the binder are sourced exclusively from the Dominican Republic. The wrapper is a light Ecuadorian Connecticut tobacco leaf. The cigar is available in four popular sizes, offering excellent value for money. A perfect cigar for new aficionados or simply to start the day. It will fill the palate with a caramel sweetness, later complemented by slightly woody flavours and hints of coffee. Finally, this cigar has a pleasantly creamy finish.

One of the oldest cigar brands in the Dominican Republic

Matilde was founded in 1876 in Santiago de los Caballeros and was one of the first tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic. However, operations were suspended in the early 1900s. In 2014, the brand was revived by the Seijas family. Their first range, the Matilde Renacer, immediately made it into the top 25 best cigars of 2014 and was awarded 92 points.

Super Zigarre für den Preis

Mein Exemplar war perfekt bis zum Schluss konstruiert.
Die Zigarre startet sehr cremig mit einer schönen Caramel Süsse und typisch für Domenikanische Zigarren mit Zedernholz Geschmack. Die ersten zwei Drittel bleibt sie gleich , und im letzten Drittel verschwindet die Süsse und es kommen Kräuter ( Eukalyptus) und eine schöne Holzigkeit zum Vorschein.
Man sollte auf alle Fälle die Zigarre nicht zu schnell geniessen.
Für diesen Preis für mich absolut Top.

Unglaublich.....mies

Vom Tabak her würde diese Zigarre passen. Allerdings brennt die Zigarre unglaublich ungleichmässig ab. Es entsteht wie ein Trichter, fast wie ein "Rohrkreppierer". Sogar wenn die Zigarre gratis wäre, dürfte das absolut nicht sein. Enttäuschend!
