DESCRIPTION

Padre Azul premium tequila is available in three different ageing levels, as is customary for Mexican agave spirits. The Reposado version is aged for eight months in bourbon casks, giving it a subtle vanilla flavour. The tequila is bottled in a distinctive bottle featuring a laced leather sleeve and a skull-shaped cap weighing 250 grams.

‘Azul’ refers to the ‘blue’ Weber agave from which the tequila is made. The name ‘Padre’ does not mean ‘father’ here, but derives from a popular Mexican expression: ‘que padre’, an expression of joyful excitement meaning something like ‘how fantastic’ or ‘how wonderful’.
