Plasencia Alma del Cielo Amanecer Hexagono

The Plasencia Alma del Cielo is an exclusive premium cigar that was unveiled at the PCA trade fair in 2025 and is the fourth edition in the renowned Alma series. The name ‘Alma del Cielo’ – meaning ‘Soul of the Sky’ – refers to the exceptional provenance of the tobacco used: It comes from the Finca San Julián in the Condega region of Nicaragua, situated at an altitude of over 1,000 metres. This altitude is unique in tobacco production and lends the cigar a distinctive aroma, characterised by cooler nights and intense sunshine.

A tobacco with a history

Finca San Julián holds special significance for the Plasencia family. Originally a cattle and coffee farm, it was sold in 1961. In 1998, Nestor Plasencia Sr. repurchased the land and gifted it to his wife, whose family had once lived there. Today, organically grown tobacco is cultivated there, nourished by a natural mountain stream. The combination of nutrient-rich soil, a cool climate and intense sunshine gives the tobacco a complex aroma that comes into its own in the Alma del Cielo.

Flavours and sizes

The Alma del Cielo is a medium-bodied cigar with a well-balanced range of flavours. Initially, sweet notes of marzipan and honey unfold, accompanied by hints of nougat. As the smoke develops, earthy undertones, cedar and a subtle spiciness come to the fore, rounded off by nuances of orange zest and a hint of ginger on the finish.

The Alma del Cielo is available in three sizes: ‘Celeste’ (Robusto, 124 mm x 52), ‘Boreal’ (Toro, 156 mm x 54) and ‘Amanecer’ (Hexágono, 152 mm x 60). All sizes are available in elegant boxes of 10 and are characterised by their high-quality craftsmanship and striking blue design.
