Quintero is one of the few brands not to have originated in Cuba’s capital, Havana. Its founder, Don Agustín Quintero, established the factory in 1924 with his four brothers in Cienfuegos, a city on Cuba’s south coast known as the Pearl of the South. Then as now, all the filler leaves selected for Quintero came from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta tobacco-growing regions.
The brand has recently been expanded to include two attractive formats – the Quintero Favoritos and the Petit Quinteros.
All Quinteros are produced ‘totalmente a mano, tripa corta’ – they are entirely hand-made short-fillers.
