Rattray’s Bel Chrome Stripe

Rattray’s Bel Chrome Stripe – a classic pipe lighter with an elegant striped design

The Rattray’s Bel Chrome Stripe is a stylish pipe lighter for anyone who appreciates reliable technology and a timelessly elegant design. The bright chrome finish with a subtle striped pattern looks high-quality, clean and classic – exactly the right choice for pipe smokers looking for a lighter that performs well in everyday use whilst also looking great. Thanks to its slim design, the model sits comfortably in the hand and takes up very little space in a pocket.

Angled pipe flame for controlled lighting

The Bel series was developed specifically with the needs of pipe smokers in mind. The lighter features an angled soft flame, which some retailers also describe as a 45° flame. This allows the tobacco to be lit precisely and with control, without putting unnecessary strain on the pipe bowl. The flip-top cap over the burner is particularly practical: it protects the flame from dirt whilst also ensuring a comfortable, classic feel when opening and lighting. The Bel Chrome Stripe thus combines a traditional design with impressive everyday practicality.

Flint ignition, 9 g gas capacity and high-quality finish

For this model, Rattray’s has opted for a classic flint ignition system with a wide friction wheel. This technology is regarded as robust, reliable and direct to use – a major advantage for anyone who prefers a straightforward lighter with a traditional character. Despite its slim design, the Bel Chrome Stripe has a gas capacity of around 9 grams, offering plenty of ignitions before it needs refilling. Several retailers also quote a weight of around 75 grams and dimensions of approximately 6.0 to 6.1 cm in height, 3.7 cm in width and 1.0 to 1.1 cm in depth. The series is named after the Celtic god of fire, Bel – a fitting name for a lighter that so harmoniously combines reliability, elegance and functionality suited to pipe smoking. The model is supplied in a gift box, making it an excellent and tasteful gift idea for pipe enthusiasts.
