Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Rum 70cl

The tradition of growing sugar cane in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century. This expertise, combined with favourable conditions such as the perfect climate and soil, gives the rum its distinctive characteristics and flavours. Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is produced by Destilerias Unidas, a Venezuelan conglomerate comprising various distillers. The company relies predominantly on copper stills manufactured in England. Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a molasses rum distilled in copper stills, which typically produce a rum that is slightly more aromatic than column-distilled rum. It is matured for up to twelve years in small oak casks that previously held bourbon.

Rich in aromas

A complex, characterful nose, with fruit cake, cocoa, dried ginger, cinnamon and cloves. It develops notes of baked bananas with toffee sauce and hints of chewy caramel alongside vanilla-oak and a distinct note of syrupy gingerbread, with a hint of orange peel. The palate echoes the chocolate and sweet butter toffee, caramel and tropical fruit aromas from the nose. Deep, lively and utterly seductive flavours.
