Gin Gold 999.9 Finest Blend 70cl

Gin Gold 999.9 stands out not only because of its name or its unique production process, but also thanks to its presentation in a bottle that is gleaming gold all over. This quadruple-distilled premium gin is intended to evoke the Roaring Twenties, when its story began. The legend goes as follows: at the beginning of the 20th century, excavation workers in Alsace discovered a gold still, which, however, had no historical value and was sold off without further ado. Its buyer, an anonymous amateur distiller who was searching for that certain something, went on to create Gin Gold 999.9. This has now been produced using the same recipe for around a century. In the process, the triple-distilled base spirit is distilled for a fourth time together with mandarins, almonds, ginger, violets, coriander, angelica root, cassia bark, gentian violet, poppy seeds and vanilla during the fourth distillation to produce its floral, subtly spicy and slightly fruity flavour. Although the Paul Devoille distillery now also uses other historic stills in the production process, part of the distillation still takes place in the original gold still.
