Marzadro Grappa Le Diciotto Lune Magnum 150cl

Marzadro Le Diciotto Lune is distilled from five different Trentino grape pomace varieties. Marzemino, Teroldego, Merlot, Muscat and Chardonnay pomace are heated in a water bath and then passed through the stills. The duration of the subsequent ageing phase mirrors the rhythm of nature: 18 full moons pass, that is, 18 months. Hence the name Dicotto Lune, meaning ‘Eighteen Moons’. Dicotto Lune is aged in small barrels made of cherry wood, ash, oak and black locust, which impart their characteristic properties – in terms of scent, aroma, colour and flavour – to the distillate. This results in an intense, ethereal and very harmonious aroma, whilst the flavour becomes wonderfully rounded, leaving a pleasantly silky sensation on the palate. In terms of colour, it takes on a warm amber hue. The master distiller oversees the ageing process right through to the blending of the matured distillates, to achieve perfect harmony between the wood and the grappa. The result is Marzadro Le Diciotto Lune, a special grappa for special occasions.
