DESCRIPTION

Grappa Stravecchia, a symbol of culture, dedication and the art of distillation. Grappa Stravecchia is created by distilling five Trentino grape pomace varieties – Marzemino, Teroldego, Merlot, Muscat and Chardonnay – which are heated in a water bath and then passed through distillation stills that are not arranged in series. It is aged in small barrels made of cherry wood, ash, oak and black locust, which impart their characteristic traits of scent, aroma, colour and flavour to the distillate. The duration of the ageing process mirrors the rhythms of nature: 18 full moons pass, that is, 18 months. The fragrance becomes intense, ethereal and harmonious. The flavour matures to leave a pleasantly silky sensation on the palate. The colour takes on a warm amber hue. The master distiller oversees the ageing process right through to the ideal blend and the perfect harmony between the wood and the grappa. The result is Le Diciotto Lune Marzadro, a refined grappa perfect for contemplation.
