Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Whisky 70cl

"Monkey Shoulder" is a combination of three malt whiskies and is blended from the contents of a total of 27 bourbon casks. As such, it can be described as a blended malt whisky, a vatted malt or a pure malt whisky. The name ‘Monkey Shoulder’ is a nod to an old tradition: many years ago, distillery workers had to turn the germinating barley by hand with shovels every hour in a laborious process. This hard labour caused aching shoulders, and their arms would hang low, almost like a chimpanzee’s. This temporary discomfort was known as ‘monkey shoulder’.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweetish with subtle spices and notes of vanilla.
Palate: Lemon, vanilla, spices and dried fruit.
