Perla del Maris a historic cigar brand with its roots in Cuba. In 1905, four Cuban brothers began rolling cigars by hand, using tobacco grown on their family’s farm in Cuba. They named their company Perfecto Garcia Brothers and called their cigars ‘Perla del Mar’, inspired by the beautiful Caribbean waters surrounding Cuba. As the popularity and demand for their cigars grew, the brothers built a large cigar factory next to J.C. Newman’s El Reloj factory in Ybor City, Florida. Perla del Mar was one of the leading premium cigar brands in the early 1900s. J.C. Newman’s new Perla del Mar cigars pay tribute to the brand’s historic legacy.

Tobacco from the lush mountains of Nicaragua

The Perla del Mar Shade is crafted from specially selected, hand-picked, aged filler and binder tobaccos sourced from four different regions in the lush mountains of Nicaragua: Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega and Jalapa. This unique blend is combined with a soft, creamy Ecuadorian shade leaf to achieve a complex yet balanced flavour.

Pressed in the Tampa style

Perla del Mar cigars are Tampa-style pressed to allow the natural flavours of the unique tobacco varieties to blend together. This creates a unique smoking experience.

Cigar exterior: Fine , matt wrapper.
Cigar construction: Medium roll, well-made.
Smoke: A hint of cream and a touch of sweetness with a generous volume of smoke.
Flavour: Wood dominates, accompanied by earth, pepper and toast.
