Habanos S.A. presented the new Vitola Rafael González Coronas de Lonsdales as a world premiere on 11 February 2023 at the Habanos Gala Dinner at the Lisboa Secret Spot in Lisbon, Portugal. It is therefore also another regional edition for the Portuguese market and is very limited. The moderate price is striking!
Inexpensive yet outstanding regional edition
The Rafael González brand has been working hard to improve its image on the global market since the beginning of 2022. The packaging is of a higher quality and the cigars are presented with a redesigned band that reflects the spirit of the times. The new Rafael González Coronas de Lonsdales, with a ring gauge of 48 and a length of 127mm, is characterised by its smooth taste and is made by hand from a careful selection of leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region. A strong port wine, e.g. the Sandeman Tawny 30 years old from Sogrape S.A., is recommended to accompany the rather mild cigar.

Unglaublich dieses Preis/Leistung - Verhältnis.
Sehr elegant. Zieht problemlos und brennt gleichmässig ab. Würzig, süsslich und gleichzeitig kraftvoll.

Es war einmal ...
Rafael Gonzalez, meine Lieblingszigarre in den Neunzigern. Dunkles, öliges Deckblatt, riesiges Aroma, dabei angenehm mild. Dies hier ist nur ein Schatten davon, obendrein so dicht gerollt, dass der Zug zur Qual wird. Immerhin schmeckt es nach Havanna. Ich werde vielleicht ab und zu mal vorbeischauen, die Marke hätte ihre Chance verdient.
