Jose L. Piedra
DESCRIPTION
The Jose L. Pietra Petit Caballeros, the revised, more modern brand image of José L. Piedra is presented for the first time. The logo was also updated on this occasion. The cigar in a Robusto-like format measures 120mm in length with a ring gauge of 48. The format is called Hermoso Corto and is extremely comfortable to hold.
José L. Piedra
José L. Piedra is a particularly remarkable Habano, as the filler leaves not only come from the Remedios tobacco-growing zone, but the cigars are totalmente a mano, tripa corta - short fillers made entirely by hand.
The Piedra family moved to Cuba from the Spanish province of Asturias in the 1980s. They settled near the town of Santa Clara, located in the heart of the Remedios region, where tobacco has been grown since the 16th century. It was there that they began making cigars.

Quite decent
“The budget ones from Cuba” – From a selection of budget cigars made with tobacco from Cuban soil, I also tried this one. Certainly no ‘ Montecristo ’, but somehow very close. Perhaps a bit more rustic and old-school, but ultimately, for the price, a solid cigar that isn’t too overwhelming in terms of nicotine either. Tastes of Cuba without the Cuban price tag. Highly recommended as an everyday smoke for those on a tight budget.

Surprise
You really can’t fault it for the price. Great value for money – nothing out of the ordinary, but brilliant for a quick treat!

Nothing special
I bought it to try a Cuban cigar that wasn’t too expensive and was in stock. But I don’t think it was a good choice at all. I won’t be buying it again.

Quite good
I reckon it was a good-value cigar, though not outstanding. You certainly can’t go wrong with this one.

Excellent value for money
A high-quality short-filler cigar from Cuba. For the price, the craftsmanship and flavour are very good. So if you don’t mind smoking short-fillers, this is a good option.
