Davidoff
DESCRIPTION
It took 20 years to develop the new Davidoff Yamasá. It all began with Master Blender Henke Kelner’s seemingly impossible dream of transforming the inhospitable marshlands of the Yamasá region into a successful tobacco-growing area. Although everyone thought it was impossible, Henke remained determined. He was unshakeable in his belief in the bounty of nature and the potential of the region.
A persistence that has paid off
And he was right. In their ceaseless endeavour to treat cigar aficionados to new flavours, experiences and pleasures, Henke Kelner and his team of experts have tirelessly nourished and cultivated the soil of Yamasá – soil that was slow to yield. When they realised it contained too much sand and clay, they fertilised every single tobacco plant by hand with nitrate and calcium. As Henke himself puts it: they carried on, carried on and carried on some more, until it worked. Thanks to his determination, a journey into the world of the new Davidoff Yamasá range is truly like a voyage to an unexplored planet.
An intense and exhilarating taste experience
This marvellous cigar presents itself to the aficionado with an appealing colour and sheen. The Davidoff Yamasá opens with an immediately noticeable, spicy Nicaraguan flavour. Delicate nutty notes blend with aromas of coffee, cedar, earth and black pepper, thereby enhancing the aficionado’s sensory delight. The cigar has a deep and complex body that reveals itself only gradually. A perfect tobacco blend comprising elegant, aged Dominican filler tobaccos, the robust Yamasá binder and the refined Yamasá wrapper, combined with the sweetness of Condega and the spice of Estelí, creates a completely new and exhilarating taste experience.
Pairing for whisky lovers
Davidoff Yamasá cigars, with their rich complexity, are best paired with a well-aged single malt whisky. The blend’s distinctive notes perfectly complement the deep flavours of the whisky.
