Ron Zacapa XO Solera Reserva Especial Rum 70cl

Ron Zacapa Centenario XO Solera Reserva Especial is produced using the unique Sistema Solera technique, an ageing process that combines rums of different vintages and characters and stores them in various oak casks. The casks were previously used in the production of robust American whisky, sweet sherry and high-quality Pedro Ximénez wine. The final maturation of Ron Zacapa XO takes place in French oak casks that previously held cognac. This method results in a blend of rums aged between 6 and 25 years.

Tasting Notes for Ron Zacapa XO

• At the largest International Rum Festival in Barbados, it was awarded a gold medal in the Superpremium category in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and received the Platinum Award at the International Rum Festival in Canada in 2003.
• On the nose: leather, tobacco smoke, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, fruit and chocolate.
• Fruity and sweet on the palate, with oak and cedar, caramel and toffee. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
