A classic blend of contrasts, the RUSTY NAIL has been combining the sweet and the bitter sides of life since 1937. Despite its name, it’ anything but rusty. And this drink, which is often enjoyed classically as a digestif , is particularly popular among whisky enthusiasts .

The perfect balance of Scotch and a honey-sweet whisky liqueur is best enjoyed in a tumbler – filled with ice cubes, flavoured with the essential oils of orange zest and garnished with the zest.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Light golden brown.
Aroma: Velvety, with an interplay of Scottish heather honey and vanilla, a hint of citrus, with a touch of freshly mown grass and herbs.
Taste: Aromatic, perfectly balanced and slightly tart, with notes of wood, smoky peat and full-bodied malt, quickly followed by a sweetness.
Finish: A slight sweetness at the start fades and gives way to a smoky finish.
Overall: A flavourful, strong drink with a subtle sweetness.

Preparation

Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add a garnish to the drink. To finish, lightly mist the cocktail with the aroma sprayer.
