Bohemian No. 6 The Gin Gimlet 33.0% 700ml

Stemming from British naval tradition, the GIN GIMLET has been regarded as a ‘gentleman’s drink’ since the late 19th century. 

However, the exact origin of its name remains unclear. One story suggests that the Gimlet takes its name from a tool of the same name used by a ship’s carpenter. We prefer the tale of Sir Thomas Gimlette, a ship’s surgeon in the British Royal Navy, who prescribed gin and lime to his patients as a remedy. 

Regardless, one thing is certain: whilst this creation of gin and lime juice cordial may have originated in a male-dominated world, served in a chilled coupette glass, flavoured with a twist of lime and garnished, it looks just as good in female company.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Pale brass.
Aroma: Full-bodied, a fusion of seductively fruity notes, with a hint of exotic fruits such as lemons and oranges, and a touch of coriander and juniper.
Taste: Mild with an optimal balance, a fruity-sweet bouquet with a gentle hint of acidity and a hint of lime.
Finish: A long-lasting finish with a subtly sweet aftertaste.
Overall: A successful balance of exotic notes and the elegant facets of a London Dry Gin.

Preparation

Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add a garnish to the drink. To finish, lightly mist the cocktail with the aroma sprayer.
