Bohemian No. 3 The Manhatten 32.0% 700ml

The MANHATTAN can be characterised as an innovative classic: It was one of the first cocktails to be modified by the addition of vermouth and was labelled the "king of vermouth drinks".

Due to the fact that the first recipe for a MANHATTAN was recorded in writing in 1884, this date at the latest is considered the birth of this classic.

Since then, the MANHATTAN has been made from whiskey, Italian vermouth and aromatic bitters. Served in a chilled cocktail glass, flavoured and garnished with an orange zest, it takes you back to the original New York bar culture in today's fast-paced world.

Tasting notes

Colour: Light copper.
Aroma: Intense fresh notes of cherries and orange, herbs and spices in the background, wine-like nose, with rich notes of pipe tobacco, hints of sherry, candied peel and allspice.
Flavour: The honey-smooth texture is perfectly balanced, herbal and slightly buttery, with wonderful waves of rosemary, fresh pepper and stewed fruit, a hint of citrus appears on the palate.
Finish: Long, herbal finish with notes of orange, hints of dessert wine and a touch of cedar wood.
Overall: Extremely complex and pleasantly aromatic.

Preparation

Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add a garnish to the drink. To finish, spritz the cocktail once with the flavour atomiser.
