DESCRIPTION
The Arturo Fuente Opus X The Lost City cigars are among the most exclusive and sought-after premium cigars in the world. This exceptional cigar was developed in collaboration with the famous Hollywood director Andy García and is named after his film "The Lost City". Opus X The Lost City offers a complex and rich flavour experience with aromas of leather, wood, spices and a subtle sweetness. The smoke is full-bodied and creamy, with a perfectly balanced strength that appeals to both experienced aficionados and discerning connoisseurs.
Arturo Fuente The Lost City - the story
The story of the Arturo Fuente Opus X The Lost City cigar is so extraordinary that it could have come straight out of a Hollywood film script. In fact, the idea was born during the production of The Lost City, a film project by Andy Garcia that was 16 years in the making. The film tells the story of a Cuban family that is torn apart during the Castro revolution. Garcia, who plays the main character Fico Fellove, received support from legendary cigar maker Carlito Fuente to portray an authentic Cuban tobacco farm in the film.
During filming, Garcia changed his original idea of shooting the scene in an office after seeing the tobacco fields at Chateau de la Fuente. He convinced Fuente to plant tobacco after the harvest in order to have metre-high plants as a backdrop in the summer. This decision not only led to an impressive film scene, but also to the creation of one of the rarest cigars in the world.
After five years of careful curing, the summer-grown tobacco turned out to be outstanding: a leaf that had all the celebrated complexity of the original Arturo Fuente Opus X wrapper, but with a unique character all of its own.

What Cigar Aficionado says about it
" The dense, chewy smoke of this Robusto gives it a heavy, earthy character, together with nutty notes and an ashy flavour on the finish. " Cigar Aficionado, 01.10.2015
