Stains on the cigar wrapper
Cigars are a natural product. As with all natural products, irregularities and discolouration can occasionally occur in the wrapper leaf. The two most common discolourations are described here.
Green spots on the cigar wrapper leaf
Green stains on the cigar wrapper Green stains usually appear in large areas. These are usually chlorophyll. This substance is largely responsible for the plant's growth, as it absorbs the light required for photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is usually broken down during the drying of the tobacco. However, if the drying process proceeds very quickly, the chlorophyll is not completely broken down in some places and a green discolouration remains. However, such discolourations have no influence on the taste. The chlorophyll has no flavour of its own and therefore has no negative effect on the aroma of the cigar.

Yellow or black stains occur when there is too little or too much moisture during drying in the tobacco barn. If the spots are yellow, the humidity was too low, causing the pigments to condense in places. This accumulation then appears as yellow spots. If the stains are black, the humidity was a little too high and there was an accumulation of the sugar contained in the tobacco.
Both stains are absolutely harmless and have no influence on the smoking process or the flavour of the cigar.
