Jet lighters - sparks
It is not uncommon for a lighter to emit small sparks instead of a flame. This is due to a small wire that does not directly touch a gas nozzle. The wire can be adjusted with a small tool and moved to a gas nozzle. The spark should then jump correctly and ignite a flame.
