Avo Classic Series
The charismatic jazz musician and passionate cigar smoker Avo Uvezian was born in the city of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, in 1926. In the 1980s, Avo, who was of American-Armenian descent, decided to create his own cigar series. After Avo's death in 2017, the production went to Hendrik Kelner, the manufacturer of other well-known brands such as Davidoff and Zino.
The AVO Classic is therefore a harmonious combination of two cigar legends - AVO Uvezian and master blender Hendrik Kelner. Their collaboration has resulted in an unforgettable cigar experience of balance, enjoyment and special flavour
Harmonious combination
In an unforgettable way, AVO Classic cigars embody the Avo Uvezian philosophy: "Cigars in Perfect Harmony". And it is precisely this harmony that can be recognised in the four exquisite, classic formats No. 2, No. 5, No. 9 and Robusto. They develop mild yet delicately spicy notes, which are largely due to the Connecticut wrapper leaf and the many years of ageing of the filler. The AVO Classic series provides both loyal aficionados and beginners with an unforgettable smoking experience
The No. 2 is a stately 50 ring gauge Toro format and is surpassed in length by the slightly slimmer Grand Corona format of the No. 5. The No. 9 was produced as a Corona Extra format, with the addition "Extra" indicating the slightly larger ring gauge. With the Robusto, the AVO quartet is wonderfully complete

Oh well...
If you fancy a small cigar with a relatively strong (sharp) flavour, this one’s a good choice. I prefer others, though, because they develop their intensity more gently. This Purito is a bit too aggressive right from the start. AVO has produced better ones.

A great small cigar
Very light with a lovely aroma; 0 mins of smoking pleasure, a subtle smoky flavour for those around you, 45 mins of pure enjoyment. Highly recommended – it’s one of my favourite cigars.

Produces a very heavy smoke for such a small ring gauge. Subtle flavour.

This is one of the best puritos for a quick smoke, for example during a smoking break. Mild and very pleasant, and it doesn’t bother non-smokers nearby at all – brilliant!
