The Honduran Corojo tobacco, which runs through all the layers of the Camacho Corojo cigar, is grown and harvested in the picturesque Valle de Jamastrán in Honduras. The legend

The history of the infamous Corojo spans generations, crosses boundaries, breaks with convention and never compromises - with only one goal: to preserve the unique character of a legendary cigar, the foundation of the Camacho brand.
The original Corojo leaves made Cuban cigars so famous beyond the island's borders back in Cuba's heyday. The Corojo tobacco, perfected in the early 1940s by the well-known tobacco farmer Diego Rodriguez, was the result of crossing the legendary Criollo plant, which had previously been introduced from Mesoamerica, with Indonesian Sumatra tobacco. The result: an unabashedly strong yet velvety-smooth flavour that quickly became the favourite of cigar lovers worldwide. Cuba soon became known as THE undisputed producer of this unique cigar. Corojo undoubtedly helped this hitherto unknown island to achieve the fame it still enjoys today.
