In 2010, Habanos S.A. unveiled what was arguably Cohiba’s best-kept secret: the launch of the super-premium Cohiba Behike range. Alongside the popular Línea Clásica, Línea 1492 and Línea Maduro 5 ranges, Cohiba Behike now enriches the premium Cohiba brand as its fourth range. The name Behike originates from the language of the Taínos, the indigenous people of Cuba, and referred to the medicine man and master of ceremonies, who was regarded as the spiritual leader of the tribe.

The Behike range comprises three exclusive formats: Cohiba BHK 52, Cohiba BHK 54 and Cohiba BHK 56, with the numbers indicating the ring gauge of the cigars. A distinctive feature of these vitolas is the famous small braid at the head of the cigars, already familiar from the Coronas Especiales and Lanceros of the Línea Clásica.

However, due to the limited availability of the tobaccos used, these cigars are produced only in limited quantities. For the first time in the world of premium Cuban cigars, Cohiba Behike uses a fourth filler tobacco called Fortaleza 4, also known as Medio Tiempo. These leaves, which grow at the top of the tobacco plants and mature in the open air, give the Behike an unrivalled variety of flavours and a distinctive strength that is second to none in the world of cigars.

Cohiba Behike Habanos are an exclusive choice that particularly appeals to experienced and discerning aficionados. Only the finest tobaccos from selected plantations in the San Luis and San Juan y Martinez regions of the Vuelta Abajo are used for these exceptional cigars. At the renowned Cohiba factory, El Laguito, specially trained torcedores have been engaged to craft the Línea Cohiba Behike cigars with the utmost precision and care.

The packaging and design of the Behike are just as exclusive as the cigars themselves. They are presented exclusively in high-quality lacquered boxes, each containing ten cigars. The cigars feature a completely new band, which incorporates two holograms, making its design truly unique
