Cohiba – unique cigars

Even the word ‘Cohiba’ is unique, as it is not of Spanish origin but a loanword from the indigenous Taíno people, referring to the wrapping of the tobacco leaves. Many different characteristics make Cohiba cigars the most exclusive of all Habanos. Firstly, there is the origin of the leaves – they come exclusively from the five finest Vegas de Primera in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco-growing region, specifically from the areas of San Juan y Martínez and San Luis. Another unique feature of a Cohiba is the – third – fermentation of two of the three filler leaves; this gives the Cohiba its irresistible aroma and inimitable flavour.

Cigar exterior: Slightly oily wrapper, elaborate banderole.
Cigar interior: Medium-tight roll with plenty of tobacco.
Smoke: Creamy with a hint of sweetness and a medium smoke volume.
Flavour: Leather, earth and wood dominate, with notes of toast and chocolate.
Burn: Good burn.
