Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Pyramid

The Cuesta Rey story goes back over a century. in 1884, Angel La Madrid Cuesta opened his first cigar factory in Cuba and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most skilful cigar manufacturers of his time. A few years later, he entered into a partnership with Peregrino Rey and the world-famous Cuesta Rey Premium cigars were created. Cuesta Rey cigars were once the official cigar at the Spanish court of King Alfonso XIII in the 19th century.

Today, the Cuesta Rey is produced by the prominent Tabacalera A.Fuente in the Dominican Republic for the J.C.Newman Company. What makes this cigar special is the wrapper, which is made from Sumatra-seed Sungrown tobacco grown in the fertile Quevedo region of Ecuador. On the other hand, because this tobacco comes from the Centro Fino, the fine spicy centre, the heart of the plant. Hence the name of the cigar: Centro Fino. In combination with 5-year aged Dominican Ligero from the tobacco plantations of A.Fuente, a medium-bodied, aromatic and pleasant to smoke cigar has been created.
