Bribon
DESCRIPTION
The Bribon Robusto is one of the Colombian brand’s most versatile sizes, combining a classic ring gauge with a mild, creamy yet distinctive flavour profile. This handcrafted premium cigar is produced in Barichara using Colombian Cubita tobaccos and an H-2000 wrapper from Ecuador. The flavour profile centres on coffee and chocolate, accompanied by fresh hay, subtle spice and, later on, darker roasted notes. Despite its aromatic diversity, the Robusto remains pleasantly mild, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced aficionados who are specifically looking for a lighter smoke with plenty of character.
Bribon Robusto in the classic 5 x 50 format
With a length of 5 inches (approximately 127 mm) and a ring gauge of 50, the Robusto boasts classic proportions. Its diameter of around 19.8 mm ensures a good balance between the wrapper, binder and filler, as well as a generous smoke volume. The medium-brown H-2000 wrapper from Ecuador encloses Cubita tobaccos from Montes de María. The compact length allows the flavours to come to the fore relatively early, whilst at the same time offering sufficient smoking time for a distinct development. The cigar is available in the 10-cigar box designed for our range.
Chocolate, coffee and fresh hay
The first puffs reveal coffee and chocolate, along with a distinctive spicy note. These may be joined by hints of fresh hay and slightly earthy notes. The smoke develops into a dense, creamy texture. Chocolate remains particularly prominent well into the second third. Thereafter, the intensity of the flavours increases slightly and is complemented by coffee and liquorice. Wood and earth may add further depth in the background. Despite this development, the strength remains mild to medium and the cigar remains pleasantly balanced.
An ideal introduction to Colombian cigars
The Robusto format is excellent for getting to know Bribón’s signature style. It offers enough time for a varied development without reaching the length of a Toro or Churchill. The combination of coffee, chocolate and creamy smoke is approachable, whilst hay, spice and liquorice lend it a distinctive character. This makes the Robusto both an interesting everyday cigar and an exciting discovery for aficionados keen to explore new tobacco origins.
