The Mayans already knew where to find the best climatic conditions and thousands of years ago cultivated tobacco in the area around Santa Rosa de Copán, a cool hilly region in Honduras, close to the border with Guatemala and El Salvador. This is exactly where the award-winning Flor de Copan cigars are made by hand. Since the introduction of Flor de Copan, the brand has been writing an unrivalled success story - a brand that captures the spirit of the times and impresses with its excellent value for money. It is therefore not surprising that this brand has received several awards in the past. A great size and a lovely smoke for in between
A nice little smoke for in between or just on its own, as it’s over very quickly! Flavour-wise, it’s a bit spicy with a slight peppery note in the first few puffs; otherwise, the flavours are rather mild and nutty. The size is just right for my taste and the craftsmanship is, as usual, excellent – just as you’d expect from Flor de Copan!! I enjoy smoking it with a strong coffee. The draw is pleasantly light! Visually, it’s a real eye-catcher with its cedar band! It’s got a permanent place in my humidor!

A brilliant cigar for short breaks
I prefer cigars that offer a smoking time of more than 60 minutes. If I only have a short spell of time here and there for a bit of enjoyment and relaxation, I reach for a Short Robusto from Flor de Copan. I find the aroma, strength and smoke volume very pleasant.

A matter of taste
The cigar has a pleasant dry-smell that whets the appetite for more. Even after the dry draw, I realised that something might not quite be right. The draw resistance was far too low. After lighting it, I detected dry, rather sour notes paired with a certain spiciness. Conclusion: I had to put this one aside halfway through. Not to my taste. Or was it simply a manufacturing fault?
