There are two different lines of cigars under the name Gilbert De Montsalvat

.

Both were created by the Swiss-American, Raymondo Bernasconi. Ray runs a successful cigar shop in Basel under the name House of Smoke.

The cigars were actually intended exclusively for him and his business, but after a while it turned out that these cigars became so successful within a very short time that the cigars are now distributed in various countries by the importer Kohlhase & Kopp from Rellingen.

Monsieur Montsalvat is therefore not a real person, he is an imaginary character created by Ray, who also gave his profile for the cigar boxes.The

appearance of the cigars in their unvarnished, light-coloured 10-count solid wood boxes is definitely an eye-catcher and the nice story that goes with it definitely guarantees a high recognition value.

Full-bodied

The wrapper comes from Ecuador and the binder comes from the Dominican Republic. The tobaccos in the filler leaves come entirely from the Condega region in Nicaragua.

When smoked, the cigar is full-bodied and spicy with flavours ranging from pepper and coffee to light almond aromas and a mild sweetness. It is excellently made and has an intense flavour structure. The relatively small packaging units encourage you to buy a box.
