Izambar
DESCRIPTION
Izambar Kingdom is the ‘original creation’ of Edmond (interior designer and aficionado) and Antonio Urech – inspired by the pioneering British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Just like its namesake, this cigar is deliberately unconventional: powerful, aromatic and yet astonishingly harmonious. In practice, this means a full-bodied start, a creamy sweetness as it develops (often described as resembling a latte) and a finish that builds in spice and depth. Whether you choose the more compact Robusto or the longer Robusto Extra, the Kingdom remains consistent in flavour from start to finish and is a real delight in the humidor.
Blend & Origin: Nicaragua with a Rosado character
The makers have chosen Nicaragua as the country of origin – with a blend that prioritises aromatic balance over sheer strength. Depending on the source, a Rosado wrapper from Ecuador (Maduro tone/Colorado Maduro) is mentioned, paired with Nicaraguan components in the filler. The aroma features recurring warm woody notes, nuts and an elegant spiciness, complemented by a gentle sweetness reminiscent of toffee or latte. This makes the Izambar Kingdom an ideal choice for connoisseurs who appreciate complexity but do not want an ‘edgy’ cigar.
Robusto vs. Robusto Extra: two lengths for your enjoyment
The Robusto (127 mm) is the concentrated version: a direct start, dense smoke and a clear, spicy core – perfect if you want full flavour in around an hour. The Robusto Extra (158 mm, with a Double Robusto feel) gives the blend more room to breathe: the creamy sweetness and the ‘green’ undertones of undergrowth and grass can unfold more fully before the final third noticeably gains in strength. Both sizes are hand-rolled and crafted as Parejo – straightforward to handle and ideal for unwinding after work.
Tasting tip
The Kingdom prefers a leisurely smoking pace. This keeps the smoke creamy and allows the sweetness to come through more cleanly. Good pairings include espresso, a mild rum or even a nutty whisky – anything that complements the coffee and toffee notes without overpowering the spice.

Tolle Zigarre
