La Aroma del Caribe Base Line Rothschild

La Aroma del Caribe Base Line is the brand’s ‘Classic Line’ – a Nicaraguan long-filler with plenty of character, which has become a favourite among many aficionados for its excellent value for money. The range is produced in Estelí (Nicaragua) by Don Pepin García and the García family, and was developed in close collaboration with Robert Levin (Ashton Cigars) and Master Blender José García. You can tell this from the very first puff: dense, creamy smoke, a lovely spiciness and an aromatic profile that is both powerful and astonishingly harmonious. 

Character & Flavour

The Base Line is considered medium-bodied to full-bodied – but not harsh. The flavour profile often combines earthy and leathery notes with coffee/espresso, toast and chocolate, complemented by a pleasant, slightly sweet creaminess. Particularly impressive is its consistency: many reviews highlight a very even burn and a stable ash, making the cigar ideal for relaxed moments of enjoyment (without the need for ‘touch-ups’). 

Four sizes – four moments of enjoyment

El Jefe is the ‘boss’ of the range: a large Gigantes size (7" / 178 mm, RG 58), made for long evenings with plenty of smoke and deep roasted flavours. 
Immensa also offers plenty of volume: 146 mm in length with a ring gauge of 60 – creamy, drawn-out and ideal if you’re looking for a broad spectrum of flavours.
Robusto is the all-rounder (5.2" / approx. 13.3 cm, RG 54): compact, with a focused aroma and perfect for a moment of indulgence.
Rothschild offers classic comfort in a shorter format (121 mm, RG 50) – ideal if you like the baseline profile but are short on time.
