DESCRIPTION
For the blend of the La Galera Imperial Jade, Jose "Jochy" Blanco opted for the hard-to-find and extremely sought-after wrapper leaf from Cameroon, Africa. This is the first time that he has used a Cameroon wrapper for a La Galera cigar. The wrapper leaf is known for its smoothness, beauty and flavour, but it is a thin and rather stiff tobacco leaf, which makes it difficult to process. However, this has not stopped Jochy and his experienced rollers from creating a first-class cigar.
An elaborate wrapper leaf
Cigars with a Cameroon wrapper leaf are rare, and not without reason. The seed for this type of tobacco is susceptible to disease, has a low yield and is grown in Cameroon, a Central African republic where there is a lack of experienced producers and knowledgeable staff to process the tobacco. The lack of tobacco expertise in Cameroon means additional work for the Tabacalera Palma factory. As soon as the tobacco is delivered from Cameroon, it has to undergo additional processes.
Red chilli pepper with a subtle sweetness
The red chilli pepper is one of the flavours that stands out in this cigar, even though it is not a peppery cigar. This is a good indication that the Cameroon wrapper contributes to the flavour profile of the cigar. An initially hidden sweetness is added as the cigar develops. The creamy and earthy flavours are rather subliminal over the entire smoking time.

Die Zigarre ist sehr gelungen, harmonisch und rund.
Technisch einwandfrei. Die Noten von Süsse, Würze, Holz etwas Leder und etwas Erde entwickeln sich schön mit Vortschreiten des Abbrands.
Auch ich empfehle die ohne "Aber", besonders auch, da der Preis hier sehr fair ist. Spannend ist noch, dass ab der Mitte, gegen letztes Drittel noch vanilline Aromen dazukommen. Das hatte ich noch selten in der Preisklasse.

Zu empfehlen
Sehr angenehm zu rauchen, mittlere Stärke. Hervorragender Abbrand. Das Deckblatt ist empfindlich, deshalb behutsam anbohren bzw. anschneiden.
